Artful Inches Fundraiser | Support the Kids!
Escondido Municipal Gallery
Artful Inches funds the student show at EAP. Volunteer artists
come in at their convenience and do a quick bit of artwork.
Once the paper is completely filled, it is then sold by the square
inch to the public. People take a mat of a measurement of their
choosing... 5x7, 8x10, up to 16 x 20... and hold it up to the long
artwork until they find an area that is pleasing to them. That area
is marked off, the person pays for it and, when it is time for all
the pieces to be cut out, they can then pick up their artworks and
hang them proudly on their homes. The areas that are not chosen
will be cut into cards/bookmarks that will be available for sale.

Mother’s Day Artist Studio and Garden Tour
Select homes and the Off Track Gallery were open on Mother’s
Day Weekend for this San Dieguito Art Guild 12th annual tour.
These homes are notable for their award winning gardens and
designs. Guild artists, many with national and international
recognition, displayed artwork at each home and in the gallery
for sale, including paintings, prints, ceramics, sculpture, glass,
textiles and jewelry. All of the studio homes in this self-guided
tour were in the Encinitas area.

Chances to own the watercolor painted during the event were sold
as C-H-U-CC-K-O tickets (C4, etc.) at $20 each, 2 for $30 or 3 for
$40... A lucky winner took it home that evening! I LOVE painting
in front of a crowd... had about thirty watching for three hours.
