Done to highlight unusual watercolor techniques during my Artists Guild Demonstrations at the San Diego County Fair, "Dead Heat" brings all the energetic ferver of stiff competition sailing to the viewer... Using sandpaper, cardboard and lipstick borrowed from a lady in the crowd (yes, lipstick), the work drew lots of attention among Fairgoers; some staying as long as two hours watching!
