It's all about the differences...
...without abandoning unity.

In an attempt to create new works that feel old and comfortable in nature, the Artist is currently experimenting with antique frames and developing art to complement. You'll notice that many of the paintings displayed in this show follow this thought... In this composition, a utilitarian and well-used dough bowl serves as the cradle for a lemon and onion before all three change purpose in the preparation of simple fare.

What intrigued the Artist was the gaudiness of the frames molding in relation to the plainness of the subject.

All are from the Victorian Age, yet often we don't consider "simple" as being a Victorian trait. But if you tour old homes (the Painted Ladies like you'll find in Old Town), you'll find the kitchens were bare-boned in contrast to the decoration found in the Queen Anne parlors.

Mounted in a c1885 frame.
