A remembrance of a dear friend taken by an illness discovered following a paint-out we were on together. This watercolor was done on silk mat board, the surface soaking up lots of the paint which lends an impressionist feel to the work. Character lines added once the fabric was saturated give this Bromeliad bloom the depth of my friend's resolve... God's speed Alison!
