A soft, quiet Winter settles in on a pond ringed by a field of birches. Unlike most of the artist's work, this watercolor isn't filled with energy, exaggerated movement and happy color. Rather, a somber atmosphere and fulfilling peacefulness touches the soul. "Snowdrift" has recently been honored with publication in the San Diego Museum of Art's Feb/May 2010 Membership Magazine and inclusion at the Western Fed Juried Competition which encourages and recognizes artistic excellence. |
