An old hotel, way past it's prime but with stories of gold, glory and gams, I'm sure! A tribute painting to the spirit of the Old West that is no longer standing in it's original Nevada home.
This watercolor was an interpretation of a photograph taken by fellow Guild member, Joe Darin, for a two-person show of ours where we did the same scene in our own style and hung them next to one another. The audience was very intrigued and we had some VERY interesting conversations come out of the idea. Joe and I will plan another show with the same format for next year... |
